Today I will try to tell you from my personal point of view about the myths and facts about implants. This is an area where, admittedly, I have difficulty keeping the subject short and concise. I hope it will be useful.
Differences between German, Chinese and Turkish implants
As I mentioned earlier, the number of implant brands, as well as the institutions and individuals who trade with them, has increased dramatically in recent years. One of the most common situations in patients is the need to obtain information about the brand and origin of the implant. Because the amount of the costs is strongly related to the brand of the implant. In some cases, the price difference between two implant brands may be up to five times greater.
Is the brand and origin of implants very important? My answer will be both yes and no.
First, it does not matter whether an implant originates from German, Swedish or domestic production. The brand is more important than the country where the implant was made. I can say that some implants made in our country are of better quality than most implants that are imported. Even if not China, South Korea has beautiful, innovative implants. It is the brand of the implant that should be noted.
Many implant brands known for their quality have a long history. Due to the very long implementation, these brands have much more experience and knowledge than others. It goes without saying that the success rates of the products of a company that reflects this knowledge and experience on their products are higher than those of its competitors. We can say that the brands of implants that have been on the market for a long time have better quality. But for a new company's products to claim they would not have any quality would be just as wrong. After a period of 10-15 years, these differences will appear.
Another issue is the sustainability of the company that manufactures or supplies the implant. Implant treatments not only require the implant, but also hundreds of different materials and parts such as upper parts, measuring parts, surgical and prosthetic sets. I have seen companies that came to the market without sufficient knowledge go broke or have been taken over in a short time and that patients wandered for months waiting for the necessary parts and even - though seldom - sometimes finding no solution. It is obvious that a low-quality implant but with available parts will bring much more benefit than an implant for which you can not find any parts and make a prosthesis, even if it is of very high quality.
In addition, inserting the implant through correct planning and correct intervention also increases the success rate. There are situations where implants considered excellent by professionals are wasted in bad and inexperienced hands.
I will go on to another topic later under the same heading. Goodbye!
